Breast and Cervical Screening

The New Hampshire Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (NH BCCP) helps individuals across New Hampshire access breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services. Services are offered at many health care sites, such as hospitals and doctor’s offices, throughout New Hampshire.

Free Cancer Screening

Screening for breast and cervical cancer can help find cancers at an early stage. Early-stage cancers are easier to treat than later-stage cancers. This means the chance of survival is much higher if a cancer is found at an early stage. Regular screening for breast and cervical cancer can lower a person’s risk of dying of cancer.

You may be able to access FREE breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic follow-up services if you meet the following requirements:

Residence

  • You live in New Hampshire (or bordering York County Maine).

Status

  • You are between the ages of 21 and 64 years, and
  • Have no insurance or insurance that does not pay for screening or diagnostic services, and
  • You have breasts or a cervix. This includes:
    • Transgender women who have taken or are taking hormones
    • Transgender men who have not had a bilateral mastectomy and/or have a cervix
