Diabetes Management

The Diabetes management program at Saco River Medical group provides an individual, patient-centered approach to type 1 and type 2 diabetes management of adults. We strive to help our patients reach their diabetic goals utilizing the latest in clinical guidelines and technology. The diabetes team works with patients and their families to become knowledgeable and active participants in their care.

Family Nurse Practitioner, Emily Beaulieu, ARNP, CDE, and her team provide a wide range of specialized diabetes services. She provides consults for both family practice providers here at Saco River Medical Group, as well as patients who have primary care providers outside of our office.

We recently purchased a retinal eye imager to help alleviate any barriers patients may have due to the need to travel long distances to see their eye doctor. Click here to learn more about retinal eye exams.

Our clinical staff is always available to answer any questions, help to coordinate any needed care or help to resolve any barriers that our patients may be having.

Saco River Medical Group also maintains close working relationships with local dietitians, pharmacists and endocrinology specialists.

What is a Retinal Eye Exam?

Retinal exams are an important part of maintaining healthy vision. Saco River Medical Group now offers retinal eye exams for patients of record. This will help to minimize the barrier to our patients who have to travel distances, or are having trouble getting into to see their primary eye doctor in a timely manner. By having this screening, you are helping to maintain healthy and optimal vision.
