Acupuncture

Over 3,000 years ago the Chinese discovered that all living things have a “life force” called Chi (pronounced ‘chee’). This energy flows like water throughout the body to nourish and keep an individual healthy. The main channels of energy, called meridians, or pathways, in the human body were mapped by the Chinese to monitor and control the flow of Chi. They found that when the Chi flows correctly, the body can stay healthy and prevent disease and pain naturally. Pain, sickness, and diseases are indications of unbalanced or blocked Chi.

Our acupuncturist, Kenji Fukunaga, Lic. Ac, can regulate the flow of Chi to increase the individual’s natural healing power to help prevent and control health problems.

Kenji studied Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for six years in both Japan and China. He has worked in hospitals, clinics and sports facilities and brings many years of experience to our group. He is licensed to practice acupuncture in New Hampshire, Vermont and Japan.

Acupuncture is a form of treatment that involves inserting thin needles in the skin at specific points on the body, to various depths with the aim of balancing their energy “Chi”. This, it is calm, can help boost wellbeing and may cure some illnesses.
